L-Theanin

Aminosäure, die in den Blättern von grünem und schwarzem Tee enthalten ist. Hat im Gegensatz zu Koffein eher beruhigende Eigenschaften und kann zur Reduktion mentaler und körperlicher Stressreaktionen beitragen. In höheren Dosen senkt Theanin den Blutdruck und wirkt Koffeineffekten entgegen. Bewirkt verstärkte Alpha-Wellen-Bildung im Gehirn, die in einem Zustand der Entspannung entstehen sowie eine erhöhte Dopaminkonzentration. Weiterhin scheint Theanin das Immunsystem stärkende Eigenschaften zu besitzen.
